Every time when people look at the Wiccan sign...which is a pentacle..people always think "Santan"

Basically I look at it as each of the star points to be an element.

When you look at this what is the first thought that comes to your mind?
Before you started looking into spirituality did you also believe this was a sign of Santan?

Well atleast your brother understands that the Wiccan sign is not a symbol of the devil but a symbol of the elements and spirituality.

Well not to long ago I was looking through some pictures with some friends...and we came across a pentacle....and I stated "I would like to get that tattoo"My friend immediately looked at me and said something along the lines "you don't worship the devil?"

I just said.....it represents spirituality and wiccans...she didn't completely understand and I really didn't want to waste my time explaining something that basically she was not going to comprehend and get in her head that it does not mean the devil.

People these days judge before actually looking into the topic.

The same goes for when you mention wicca......"people who worship the devil?!" and then again the whole process of explaining starts again.

I have only come across few that actually will comprehend.

Hmmm not the first time.....I got told that I am going to hell!
It's not such a good feeling to feel but I am not going to deny who I am or what I do...just because a few people believe that if we practice witch craft...wear a pentacle etc we are part of the devil and are given dark powers...and that we are children of the devil...not acceptable.

I made a promise not so long ago...that is someone ask me if I am a wiccan...or that I am into spirituality etc I wont deny.

I am who I am....if you like it you don't if you do then thank you....

The satanic pentagram is inverted - They believe the wiccan pentagram is bad for the earth as the top point is earth and it points up, leading energy away from the earth & preventing it from being able to heal itself.

The satanic pentagram points down, so energy is put back into the earth.

I've always believed and thought of the Pentagram with the 5 elements. Back when I was in school I got a lot of jokes and criticism from wearing one, but I knew the true meaning and I didn't let it bother me.

Raven I am glad that you did not let anyone bother you enough for you not to wear your pentagram because you received criticism. You knew the true meaning...and that was great!

It's why all my pents are inverted. I'm not a Satanist anymore, but i still believe the wiccan pentagram is bad for the earth. Just my opinion though =)

The earth element is at the top of the pentegram..when earth energy is being released to the air.... isn't being taken away by wind and to the earth?

No, it's being drawn from the earth & up into nowhere...

Even if it did go into the air element then it's just being put into the air element. However, even if it DID return back to the earth via the air element then why the hell not just use an inverted pentagram & save the hassle?

EDIT: The inverted pentagram GROUNDS all the other elements, including yourself where as the wiccan pent does not. Simply, the inverted pentagram is just superior in my opinion... Just my opinion though - Do whatever you wish with your pentagrams =)

martyr that is why i use a circle or my own symbol, a circle is just there and all you need is the directions for the elemements, and my own symbol i wont share yet.

I have my own symbol, but i'm never going to share it because parts of my symbol contain A LOT of 'dark' energy =p

My symbol is balanced.

balance can be a good thing but in my life i "fight" off eanough bad things so my symbol is all good so as to balance out the bad that comes to me

That sign reminds me of the image of mankind, you know, the one with the man in the pentacle.

But I don't consider none of those signs as evil.
