| Hello,
First of all, many thanks for this place :-)
Here are four books about tarot that helped me understanding and working with tarot. Even with all the german books I have with this subject, those are the best for me:
A MAGICAL COURSE IN TAROT Michele Morgan ISBN 1-57324-706-5
Instead of feeding people with many information about the symbolism of tarot, Michele Morgan teaches us to trust our intuition to understand the cards. The sentence that you find on the cover puts it nicely: Morgan's method, which can be applied to any Taro deck, rises above the rules of structure and the constraints of tradition, freeing you to begin reading the cards right away with a profoundly fresh perspective
TAROT JOURNEYS Yasmine Galenorn ISBN 1-56718-264-X
This book gives you ideas about how to use the cards as a base for spiritual journeys (by the way, an idea you also find in Michele Morgan's book) This way you learn more about the card in the same time you learn more about yourself
TAROT SHADOW WORK Christine Jette ISBN 1-56718-408-1
This book takes you even deeper, using the cards along with rituals to do your own shadow-work. In fact, if this subject interests you, another book - without cards, but cited by Jette - is "Romancing the Shadow" by Steve Wolf and Connie Zweig
Last but certainly not least: TAROT SPELLS Janina Renée ISBN: 0-87642-670-0
If you like to use rituals to work with magick, and if at the same time you like to work with tarot, this books combines both ideas. The tarot cards help you visualizing your goals
Greetings
