That is my question to you why do you think people put so much faith in religion. Is it because they just want something to beleive in, or is it that they are scared and want something that they think is in control. I want your opinon, and i know that religion topics can start arguments so watch what you say or it will get deleted, i wont delete something because i dont agree with it but if you say that some other religion is stupid or bad or wrong your post will be deleted.

Scared of being sent to hell if they don't believe & even if they know deep down there probably isn't a god, they'll ignore it just incase they're wrong & burn in hell XD

but if there wasnt a god then there wouldnt be a reason to be dammed to hell. that is my reasoning.

I also think it is fear that drives them into that direction.

Nevertheless many people who believe in God do not believe in Hell because they think that God that everybody gets God's Grace and so nothing can happen to them.
It is easier than to face the own fears.

that is pretty much the same way i see things as well shade but i just want people to think to actually step back look at it from a different angle if they have to.

I think it gives them something to belive in after this life is over. For those that have suffered great lose such as a family member being killed by someone else the have hell to believe in for the person that did the killing. Or if they loose someone to sickness or after their long life they have the thought of heaven where they are restored to perfect health and live happy forever with GOD. Others of us believe once we depart this life our energy is recycled to the earth/ the goddess to do with as she chooses be it we become a drop of rain, a bug, a mighty lion, an human again.... It boils down to something to believe in other then eternal nothingness in a grave 6 foot under for our bodies and souls once we depart.
